About HCT

The Hannibal Community Theatre began as a Community Education Drama Workshop in the fall of 1978 and became incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in May of 1981. In June of 1989 we received our 501c3 status. Since that time, we have been producing plays, musicals, children’s productions, workshops, and holiday shows for the entertainment of people in the Hannibal area, as well as providing a much needed outlet for amateur actors, singers, musicians, dancers, and artists in the area. In our thirty year history, the Hannibal Community Theatre has performed in many different venues, including the high school, middle school, Missouri Territory Restaurant, the old Federal Courthouse, the Ice House Theatre, the Orpheum Theatre, The Corner Square, First Christian Church, and the Holiday Inn. Finally, in 2001, we obtained the current building through a NAP grant and finally have a home of our own. By purchasing a Season Ticket, you will help us to continue our 30 year tradition of bringing excellent, live theatre to the people of Hannibal and the surrounding area! We appreciate your support!
